I think the only thing that might be the same thing, especially from the perspective of the shop owner, is fabric. The fact is that there are a lot of great fabric items on Etsy, and most of them are made for a certain type of project. It’s good to have something in your stash for your little sister that just needs to look a lot better than plain brown onesies.
Have you ever sold your home or a flatware that you are so proud of that you are making that your husband wouldn’t be a huge fan if it were sold? I know you do, and it works because it means your love for your home has some meaning to it. For a lot of women, it’s not something where you have to explain to someone why you didn’t love it once you bought it. Sure, you have your own reasons, but the fact is that if the item you buy is something that you have loved since day one, it will continue to be popular for a long time.
What is your most prized possession? My most prized possession may be my sewing machines. I’ve had so many and they continue to improve and improve. When my sewing machines go bad and fail miserably, if my husband notices a fault, he doesn’t let me down. I have gotten so much support from friends and family to keep my machines going for many years.
What is one thing on your wish list that you would buy if it were in your backyard right now? I would only buy a house if it was on a nice stretch of land that had access to a farm to raise meat chickens. I’m not saying it’s going to be expensive, but if I was in the market to buy a house, I definitely would want one that had a barn and a farm.
What is life like with your husband? For the most part life is going very well with our love. I have also been blessed with having a good support worker who is always available. I know from personal experience that if I didn’t have someone who was always available to be with me, I might not get to sleep at night.
What was the hardest part about starting a business from scratch? The most difficult thing was actually being able to put the business together. There’s so many things to do, so many places to be, so many companies to deal with – it really took me some time to get it together.
