The hard thing to do in this business is to have high conversion rates. I’d love to create that as my goal in the long run. I’m not sure how long that’ll take me, but I know I’ll try.
In my case, selling on Amazon isn’t really the hard thing to get to, as there’s no way to sell directly there for us. The hard part for me is finding the right products and services to sell, and then building a presence on Amazon. How to find, develop, and work with top talent to deliver a great product. I’m a fan of product management and I know product development is something every company should learn, but in our case, we just want to build products that solve our users’ problems.
My goal for any business is to find a market to sell into. That means finding and working with top talent and finding an environment where they can take the time and hard work to understand what we’re trying to do well and deliver great products. I think we found that this year, and I’m excited about it!
What’s one lesson that you’ve learned so far about Amazon?
Finding a way to reach customers in an attractive and sustainable way is the most important. That’s been the case for us this year. We know we need to do a better job with customer service, and so far all we’re doing is listening to our customers and making some improvements, but that’s all good. We have a lot of fun with it.
One of the things Amazon has helped us do this year is build a dedicated team for product development. We’ve also been working on a new product called Amazon CloudFront, which is designed to serve as a central hub for our products across multiple websites.
What is your favorite thing about working at Amazon?
My favourite thing about working at Amazon is that it gives me a sense of purpose, of achievement. I feel like I’m contributing to making the world a better place and doing great things, which is just so inspiring to me.
I also like the unique opportunity to interact with customers directly, which is something that I’ve thought about doing a lot this year as a result of the opportunity to interact with customers directly on Amazon. I find myself saying “Hey, how
