Can my business grow without the benefit of this business model? That’s a tough question. It has been a challenge for some of our clients. For example, we have to deal with landlords who are afraid to take on non-paying inventory as it’s so much more difficult to prove they’re paying rent when you aren’t. We also deal with buyers who believe we should be selling to people who buy in bulk as opposed to the more “frenetic” buyers we currently are. Some clients simply don’t want a business model that’s more in the vein of a traditional furniture store.
Is there a cost to be paid for my product? It depends on if you are taking a wholesale or retail approach. If you don’t take advantage of the brand as you do at home, you will be overpaying for your merchandise.
