Help a Non-profits and/or Good Cause
We have over 40 organizations on our list that we have partnered with for more than a decade to benefit various social and educational causes such as The Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries. You can learn about volunteering to help them by signing up for our online volunteering program at Goodwill Industries. If you’re interested in giving back to your community or helping a non-profit and/or good cause, just call one of our non-profit organizations and tell them you would like to volunteer with us. Then the non-profit will contact you to set you up on a volunteer date or time. Then, you can come to our shop to learn how to use our tools and learn other skills. Please note: Once we receive your request, we may set up a volunteer date for you to help us at no charge. However, you do not have to do this if we didn’t select you based on your experience.
Can I use my woodworking skills on a project that I make with commercial equipment?
There is no rule that says you cannot use your woodworking skills on a project you make with an item made with a commercial woodworking equipment. However, we strongly advise you to find out to how well you can use it on a project before you start using it. We usually recommend that woodworkers learn this process before using commercial equipment. However, any skilled woodworker can learn this process if they want to; it only takes a few minutes of practice.
