I’ve said it before: If you’re dancing with your partner, the first move should be to get them on top, even if it can’t be on the ground! In general, you can be a lot more creative and expressive if you know how to get a woman on top. What does this mean? Well, it means you can have your partner on all fours, with arms at their sides, pulling her from the floor to the wall. Or you can have a man on top, and his partner toying behind him. It does not mean that you should try to get a woman to “fall to her knees” to get them onto the floor in a certain way. They’re not going to “go down”, so be prepared. The important thing is that you are getting them onto you as quickly as possible!
How do I dance around the room with my partner?
A great time to go around the room with your partner is between the final notes of every movement and at the end of the movement. The goal with those final notes is to get your partner to “fall to her knees” in a certain way to get you off of the floor and onto her. Do a head-fake, then slide down the aisle. Be creative… and it’s not too late to keep up!
What should I do?
You may want to have your partner dance around the room using these same moves. Make sure the song is loud, and that you can hear what the person is doing. Have them move away from you as soon as you get to the last note. It may seem like you’re doing too much in this move, and it is… but don’t push it too far into it. As you get to the end of the move, it may seem like you’re trying to push them out of position; but try to slow down the speed of the move and let them know you’re giving them a break. If you want to be a lot more playful, just do one or both of these things at the same time and use your partner to help push them into positions.
What are some of those fun moves that I do with my partner that usually end up being really fun but don’t get the “go-to” moves?
I’m sure you know a lot of those moves – but don’t worry! In my experience, you are very much welcome at any dance party to practice these moves – and most women love it! It is
