With over one million acres of natural areas, the Rocky Mountains offer thousands of activities to anyone desiring to take a trip or visit some of the nation’s most beautiful backdrops. There are so many mountains that it’s hard to find the top one when you’re not willing to spend the money to find the next one.
In 2016, the National Park Service conducted a search with the Rocky Mountain Parks & Reserves Association, the world’s leading nonprofit, to identify the top ten mountain national parks that offer the best outdoor activity experience to any visitor. They asked us to submit our suggestions and provide links to all of the websites that offer outdoor activities.
In the end, we were able to narrow it down to ten:

As we announced two months ago, we are planning to take another look at our list: we’re looking to add a tenth national park and it is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

10. Mt. Adams State Park (Tennessee)
A trip to Mt. Adams State Park is a must to get into the mood for the Great Smokies. One of the most picturesque state parks in the US, it features a variety of trails that will inspire the adventurous and the passionate, and the more adventurous will enjoy the opportunity to go as close to the mountain as possible.
