What about painting after your wedding? Do you paint just before you have a baby, or after a couple of months?
I think when it comes to painting, you can pick a moment in your life when you’ve finally been able to relax. You’ve achieved your dream, and that’s the time to take stock – and when your mood really lifts, it’s time to start painting. I’ve been painting for a long time. I’ve been a student of the industry for two years. I’ve worked as a painting teacher, and for six years I was a professional painter for an international clientele – so that gives me a bit of a reputation.
It’s important to be able to relax with your family, whether it’s getting a first time child, or an adult being born.
I think you should paint when you have the time you want to paint. When you’re working, the paint is going to last you a long time until you run out or you get tired. And a while before your job, when you’re sitting on your desk, you should be thinking, ‘How am I going to stay motivated?’
What advice would you give to those wanting to embark on an exciting new career?
I think it’s the key to a good job. Work hard, pay attention to detail and work long hours for a decent wage. If you love what you do, you’ll do it.
My advice would be to be confident in where you are and focus on finishing that job as quickly as possible. There has always been something of an obsession with timepieces, and if you want to do something, you’ll just do it.
