What is your favorite tattoo artists? I’ve been getting my friends tattoos ever since I was little and it has always been some guy, not always a good one. Do you have any advice to young guys who want to get their own tattoos? Never say never when it comes to getting a tattoo. Keep working, don’t stop.

What is a common misconception regarding tattoos? Tattoos are just a part of a person’s self. I have always wanted to be a professional artist so that’s why I have been in the industry for so many years and been the first female tattooed artist in Australia. Just because you don’t love your body, that doesn’t mean you don’t love your art. I am not afraid of anything.

How would you describe yourself as an artist? A tattoo is just an extension of myself. It represents what I’m passionate about, but most importantly is about giving people who may want to express themselves more self-expression.


How do you like painting? I feel like painting is my favourite process, I don’t really like other methods of painting. I love to paint and it’s my passion and I love what I do. It’s a really interesting process and a great way to be creative.

Are you a fan of tattooing? I’ve been getting my friends tattoos since I was a little kid and always have. It’s always been some guy. I love people and I see potential in them. There are great artists out there who are creating great ideas. I’ve had some great artists that have put me into the industry for over 3 decades.

What is the most frustrating part of getting a tattoo? Getting your tattoo is the most rewarding and important time but for some reason this is always the most frustrating time in the process. What do you think of the Australian trend for tattooing? I agree with a lot of what these artists are saying, the trend has a lot of promise. But I agree that it depends on your attitude. In order to gain more respect and respect from the client, it means a great deal. It’s really rewarding, as long as you are respectful and you are willing to help out with the project.
