At this point, I have a lot of experience in coaching students. I’ve worked with people from all over the world that I think would be good coaches. I’ve worked with kids from ages 7 to 18 who have had to make some major life decisions, like where to go to school, what to pursue, whether to work in the business world, which has really helped my life in lots of different ways. I’m really thankful to be on the other side of the process.
Did you have any preconceived notions from your time in law school?
There are some things that I knew a little bit earlier in law school that will be useful later on in my life. One of those was that I would have a lot greater success as a lawyer if I didn’t have to do everything right the minute that I walked in the door and then go through the law review process. Law review is a really stressful and stressful process, especially for women, in that you don’t know what will be the result of the law review and how all of that will play out before you leave. So that’s really something that when I entered law school I really looked at from that perspective first.
What have you learned from working with the female attorneys?
Just the fact that they are not afraid and don’t be afraid of being who they are. Women in law school have a lot of different issues to deal with, but it’s really easy to deal with. When you’re the only woman you know and you’re having the same problems as the men, it’s really hard not to get frustrated, like, “Where is this going to end up?” But they’re not afraid. They’ve done some research and they’ve seen that we are just as capable as, if not more so than the men, doing everything the same. Not only that, they have all these opportunities and it’s really a matter of how they’re going to deal with those opportunities. That’s really where I learned how to manage my own life well.
I heard you were working on a law review from a friend of yours. Was it a good move?
It was a great move. It was an opportunity that I had long wanted to have, which is to work in a different role in the law review process. I always wanted to be a law review associate. And I always thought that working in one of the law review positions would make all three of us look pretty good. If you think about it, it
