What questions does a life coach ask? – Sample Business Plan For Life Coaching

In his article “What Does a Life Coach Test?”, Dan Lyons (Director of Career Counseling at The Life Coach Network) describes three types of questions that a life coach might ask you:

What does it mean to you to be a success?

Where does your interest lay?

The first and most common type of question may concern your goal with your life. Dan Lyons says, “I often start a phone call by asking, ‘Do you think you’re the kind of person who would want to be a professional basketball player?'”

The most fundamental question that a life coach can ask is if you find yourself getting carried away and not taking the time to actually ask a question. For some, that could be the case. “My grandmother and mother were extremely busy, both at once, for a long time,” says Jodi Schulman, a counselor. “I’m grateful that I’m able to keep their memory alive; I think the best gifts you can give a young person are time and laughter.”

In her “Why Parents Need Your Job” video, Jodi recommends a time management tactic that will help you focus on the things that you love to do—such as reading, cooking, playing music, playing games, and spending time with family and friends. “You have an opportunity with your career to become the best version of yourself,” she says in the video.

In addition, Dan Lyons says, a life coach can often suggest strategies (such as how to find a good therapist, how to work with the right managers, or any other topic).

Dan Lyons recommends answering this question by describing who you are, and asking yourself, “How do I feel about myself?”

What do you hope to accomplish with your career?
