How hard is a violin to learn? – Learning The Violin Late In Life

The answer to that is a bit of a mystery. My experience is that it is as hard as guitar or piano, and that this is due to the way the fingers have been trained. I don’t remember learning a violin at all, and have been playing guitar for more than 40 years, when my friend came up to me and said that “you should learn to play the violin”. My first reaction was yes, although I didn’t know what it was, and did not have much sense of the violin as a subject. I started with the violin immediately because the teacher said that he was the most qualified to teach it, and it looked like a real possibility. I am not a trained professional, but the fact is that I have played a lot of music and studied lots of things, plus I’ve been around music a long time. I have seen many “real” violinists as well as a lot of “pros.” I’ve never seen anyone just pick up a violin and start playing.

What is the most important part of the violin for you to improve in?

The most important part of playing a violin is learning how you feel and how you relate to the instrument. Every time I have practised to improve some aspect of the violin, I have learnt to play exactly the part I was thinking of playing. I play to the feeling, not to the sound. And I feel better because I can do it at any point in time, even if it’s at 3 in the morning. The most important thing in life is being happy, that is the main goal of life.

The last game of the year at the end of which you will not have won anything, so how can you possibly expect a winner

I don’t have all the data to do that, but with the exception of the 2012 game-winning goal (with no goal, no rebound, no penalty-shot), how often do you see the game in which the team from your current team plays out a 0-0 draw or win? It happens rarely, and they get a point, sometimes two or three.

I’ve looked at each of the five NHL seasons in which at least three games of the season were ended by ties (the NHL standings), and only found 19 instances, of which the tie occurred after five minutes of action or less (19% of the total). Only one of the cases involved two teams. In the other two, there had already been at least one shootout win, a shootout loss
