Can you learn violin without a teacher? – How To Learn Violin Youtube Kids Bop

No.

This is because you need to know that “violin and piano” are only part of the equation of learning the language of music as you learn. Yes, learning the grammar and syntax of violin and piano is important before learning the theory behind them. However, this is not enough.

Most good violinists know more than the grammar of any violin instrument. And most pianists know more than the grammar of a piano. They don’t just learn about their violin and piano, they learn the vocabulary of these instruments as well. When you study these instruments like the classical musicians would, you begin to learn that there are many, many different types of instruments that have a very different sound and feel. (Imagine hearing three different violins and six different pianos, each with it’s own little “feel”). It’s like learning any other language; it took my grandmother a lifetime of listening to dozens of music recordings to learn how to say “Hello”.

So how do you do this?

I will be the first to admit that I am quite intimidated. I think I might be a lousy learner at all this. I thought my first “real” lesson was in the mid 80’s. I thought lessons like these would be easier. But I have learned far more.

Many people wonder how to practice piano. This is the question I got asked most often back in 2003, 2005 and 2006. This question is still asked today. And the answer you get depends on how much time you have. But if you are like me, it doesn’t matter if you have ten seconds or ten hours. (And how can you be sure that you won’t get stuck?) If the best tool you can think of will do, then you might as well use it!

In my opinion, the best way is to have practice partners. Even if you have to teach the solo piano a few times a week, you can work on your chops while you listen to a partner play your piece. (This can take anywhere from five minutes to an hour. If this makes you nervous, I can’t say I disagree.)

Most people learn piano by listening to other people, and some people really go the extra mile to learn a piano by observing other people play! Here is a video from my friend Scott from the Music for Beginners website showing you how amazing it is at how to practice on the go…. (http://www.mforbeginners.com/video.php?v=
