Is 4k better than 1080p? – How Do I Make A Video Of Myself On My Laptop

So, that’s the question at the heart of this piece, and to answer it, I’m going to compare the pixel quality at the native 1080p resolution of each screen. This is going to be done with X-Rite Cinema 2’s X-Eyes test software (version 3.1.0.923 or Higher).

I’ll use an AMD R7 260 as the main test system for this. There’s not much to write about here as it’s already a fairly recent build, but the system does provide some useful benchmarking results, and is used to benchmark all the main games with the latest AMD drivers. The test is as follows:

1920 x 1080 (5ms response time)

2x NVIDIA GTX 580 @ 1425 / 8Gbps

AMD Radeon RX 470 @ 1425 / 8Gbps

2x Sapphire Nitro Black @ 1425 / 8Gbps

1x Asus Strix Strix X299-4G

2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB (7200 RPM)

1x Crucial Ballistix Sport II 256GB (7200 RPM)

1x Samsung 840 Evo 250GB (7200 RPM)

8x Intel Core i3 2160 @ 2.6GHz (Hyperthreading)

1x Crucial MX100 2TB

2x Intel Core i5 2.8Ghz (Hyperthreading)

1x Intel Core i7 2600K @ 4.5ghz(2.66Ghz Turbo)

2x Corsair Force 500 240GB

1x Asrock Z97 Extreme6

1x Asus X99-E & X99-E Plus Motherboard

1x Microsoft Windows 7 64bit SP1

3x 2TB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB WD30EFRX

1x 2TB Samsung 850 Pro 2TB WD30EFRX

1x 500GB Seagate Barracuda 1TB HD + 2TB Samsung 960 Evo 1TB SSHD

1x 1TB 5400 RPM Seagate Barracuda 1TB HD

1x 2TB Seagate Barracuda 1TB HD

1x 4TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

1x 4TB Sandisk Ultra PRO SSD

1x 2.2TB Samsung 850 EVO 1TB SSHD
