When her partner goes belly dancing along side us, we can see that her hips were not working well. She had a problem with pelvic alignment. But then she got belly dancing. She did it all, in both directions – hips, back, and even side positions. She can be a core builder with belly dancing.

How to Practice Belly Dance
If you were looking for the one resource that gives you everything you need to get started belly dancing as a beginner, then belly dancing for beginners may well be the place to start. All the belly dancers in our videos and classes (including our new video on belly dancing for women) have been beginners themselves for years. We’ve been teaching belly dance as a professional belly dancers for years, and we’ve taught and watched belly dancers for many years.
The bottom line is that there are no ‘hard rules’ for belly dancing. What makes up your belly dance is entirely up to you and your partner. And your choice of the belly dance you perform is going to be absolutely unique, both in its form and the music played. However, there are several things you should keep in mind, when you take the dance seriously. Before you start belly dancing, there are some very important things you need to know. First, your belly dance partner is going to be at an extremely high risk for getting hurt. This sounds obvious, but unfortunately, it’s not always true. Take a look at a few recent Youtube videos of belly dancers, and then try out the steps: Try as hard as you can to have fun. Make yourself do something that you wouldn’t be able to do without belly dancing. But always remember to maintain physical, emotional and spiritual awareness of all your body’s vital areas.
